If I borrow money that is secured by a mortgage against a property is the loan amount public knowledge i.e is the amount I borrowed shown anywhere  on records available to anyone other than the lender ?<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hi can someone please advise if this is correct.  My broker said that cross collaterising my loans to get my first investment property was okay.  He also said that in the future it is still okay as it is easier to track loans for Taxation purposes etc.  As it is a clear path to follow. <br />

But what if i want to have multiple loans is that a problem for the future and what if i want to put buy IP&#039;s in a HDT.<br />

In short, my loan is 5 years in and has switched from interest only to P&amp;I. Id like to keep it as interest only. When we got the loan, we had two very high incomes and now we have one lower income and 2 dependents (3 including wife?). <br />

This is in terms of set up, cost and ease to get it released.<br />

The use is for a deposit for an off the plan purchase which is supposed to settle 12 to 18 months.<br />

For me the most important attributes are honesty and follow up communication. I got mightily sick of dealing with people who neglected (on a fairly predictable and ongoing basis) to return my calls or keep me informed during the entire process of lending.<br />
Hence my switch to a more reputable broker <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie1" alt=":)" title="Smile    :)" /><br />
