So I've read this article on Verge and now all I can think of is investing into penny stocks. What do you guys think, is it possible for a total newbie to actually make a little extra on the side trading penny stocks? Anyone with experience?

hi, does anyone have an opinion on what to do about ybr? I hold a substantial number of this share. There's a hostile bid of only 9 cents which is a bit ridiculous if you look at the company's financials.

I won't do anything presumptuous as I paid under 10 cents per share.

Hi, I believe someone mentioned ROO (Roots). Does anyone know anything about this company?

I looked it up and bought a small parcel of shares because my nephew left a secure job and started a company with a friend and they're doing the same business. They had a difficult first year but are now quite stable with increasing stocks to sell.

It's also recommended by the small cap investigator / newsletter that I subscribed to.

In 2007 we bought 6500 shares in Thompson Couplings at the price of 78 cents per share. We have had no return on these in the 11 years we have held them. My questions are:

Does anyone think that QBE might be a worthwhile buy at the moment?

I'm mainly a technical analysis trader and see that it could be at the bottom of a descending triangle pattern (on the monthly chart) i.e. over last 10-13 years.

both the XAO and XJO have made a Death Cross this week, on a daily chart, where the SMA50 has crossed below the longer term SMA200 - the EMA versions have not quite crossed. A Death Cross is an indication to be aware that the market may be going against you. 2011 Death Cross led to a 20% fall and 2015 Death Cross led to a 19% fall. A Golden Cross of course is the opposite and one to look forward to but not at the moment. Keep your tinder dry for a get-

I understand the importance of diversification and feel I have done a pretty good job so far.

I currently have $10k invested in CMC with the following
20% in VTS (US Market)
20% in VAS (AU Market)
20% in VAP (AU Real estate)
20% in VEU (All world ex US)
20% in ALU (AU Tech company)

I don't have a large amount of money so haven't diversified in BONDs, commodities yet, but just wanted another opinion.
