One word - Lithium (PLS, LKE) ... especially PLS, which is at 80 odd cents, going to production and likely to be worth a few $ in a few years!!

in my inheritance i got some Poseidon Nickel certificates ( that Poseidon Nickel earned a little place in history )

    Poseidon bubble - Wikipedia

i am not saying particular stock will do that again , but keeping the caution factor up ( when in ridiculous profits ) might not be a bad thing .

    always take care

Hi, a couple of penny stocks to consider.
    SFI 0.042
    YBR 10.5 { I bought at 10 and 0.094}

Look at NEA. I couldn't wait anymore and bought at 90 cents.

Hi, actually no. I sold even the last 2000 shares at 46.5 Surprising even 2000 shares can make 120 dollars!
I did buy TLS and the more I bought, the more they dropped!

But today my portfolio looks quite rosy!!

Hi, did anyone pick up on SFI?

Another one to look at is ERA

I've sold the bulk of YBR at 11.5

Look at NEA go. I bought because the announcement of FY18 is nigh. I suspect that the guidance will be much earlier than the Aug release of the full year results.

I couldn't resist the 90 cent price on Monday and bought 7000 shares just to 'round up' my holdings to 100K and can't believe that the settlement hasn't even occurred but the price has gone up more than 10%

Sigh! To think that I bought 903000 shares at around 40 cents in FY16!!!

Same here, I was playing them in the 40-60c range and made a little bit of beer money. If only......

Hi, many people believe that NEA still has legs!! My regret is that I didn't sell at the peak. Sometimes we get ahead of ourselves! I thought I could sell and then buy them back at a lower price. I sold up to 88.5

I saw that it evened out at 89.5 and refused to move lower. I started buying again at 90 and managed to pick some up at 89.5 My sister refused to sell but she had less shares than I did.

So now I have another decision. When do I take profit again?

    kum yin lau ,

where do you feel comfortable ( share price wise )

i have a theory that you should avoid share decisions that damage your sleep

i have sometimes seen share prices go much higher after i have sold .. and then i consider what i bought with the sale proceeds ... and long term i have often made the correct choice . ( even with BKL )

shares like IPL and AOG are gone ( and now showing signs of distress ) but the next investment is purring away calmly ( and i sleep better as well )

if in that much confusion would selling some ( not all ) of them be a good solution ( like i did with MQG )

    cheers

Hi, interesting. It's exactly what I did. I sold 20% to register some profit for this FY as I don't have tax problems.

With QBE, I sold and then the price went up much higher but now it's much lower than what I paid.

So the lesson is we can't win them all. At the end of the day, I will stick to my principle that I should make enough so I don't call on Centrelink for help!

a different problem i have found when picking absolute tops ( or bottoms ) in trading is there is no guarantee your entire trade order will be filled that day( or month or ever )

even today i have a part-filled order in the market from Monday ( and i am only talking small parcels .. that is less than $2,000 buys/sells )

'enough profit ' seems to work for me . ( win a little bit is better than losing )

QBE as you know is a difficult beast to predict , with QBE i just set price triggers ( buy or reduce prices and wait ... months if need be )

one luxury i have been given is a rarely NEED to buy or sell , to pays bills , so i can wait
this is probably one reason i wouldn't make it as a professional ( or semi-pro ) trader .

    take care

just remember even the biggest traders have been 'cleaned out ' a few times in their career ( and come back later , normally )

Hi, NEA's legs are growing longer by the day! TLS goes the other direction but fortunately I sold some. A little bit worried about NTU so will monitor but otherwise everything is status quo and ready to go.

Hi, did anyone pick up on NEA? I sold some at 1.46 today.

That's about 60% gain since early June!

Hi, still the same question. Did anyone pick up on SFI? I originally bought 150000 shares but sold them and then bought and sold again. Finally, I bought 60000 at 5.1 cents. Sold today at 7.6

Very good for a fortnight's hold.
I might even be able to make some money from this trading lark!

Now waiting on YBR NTU and ERA

TLS is still the villain by a big margin.
