2012 tax return deadline

    I have yet submitted my 2012 personal tax return. Just wondering what is the absolute deadline to submit the return, using a tax agent?

    Not being a tax agent but my understanding is end of May.
    That said, as long as you don't owe money, it is not that critical. If you do, get it in.

    Hi there,

    If you have lodged your 2011 Income Tax Return on time, the absolute deadline for 2012 is 15 May 2013 (next Wednesday). Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    You can lodge by the 5 June provided you pay any tax bill at the same time. It is not an actual lodgement date just a concession that you will not be fined for late lodgement.
