Would anyone have a ballpark figure for the cost of installing separate electricity meters in units, as one of the provisions of allowing them to be separately strata titled? Units are 35 yrs old and the current elec box for the whole block of six is the original one.

When I looked into rewiring one of my townhouses - I was originally quoted $10,000+ by our electrician ... I've sinced discovered there's a name for those kinds of quotes ... it's a "I really really really don't want to do that" quote.

New property manager re-investigated the issue several years later, and in the end I was charged $2750 to rewire the two units and split the electricity into separate metres. This was in late 2005 in Adelaide.
