I['m about to embark on this for the very first time later on this year and thought I'd keep a blog for the benefit of the IE community. However, before I waste my breath (and my typing skills!) is anyone interested in this type of thing? I thought it might be advantageous to some to read the process from A-Z, so to speak. The plan is to engage an agent in some type of conjunction if I have no success after an 8 week period. Appreciate any thoughts/tips or advice from those who've gone before down this path....
I would be interested, as we will probaly have to sell our PPOR to finance building our future dream home. It will be interesting to compare your expeience with the cases in Terrry Ryder's book on the subject which made it all sound easy. regards, Paul
Hi Jacque, We've sold 2 of our own IPs but not a PPOR; tips and pointers from our experience in an earlier thread, somewhere - maybe we need an Invested library or ideas checklist somewhere as a permanent reference (instead of forum threads that seem to get forgotten in time)? Not sure of any material differences between IP and PPOR, but I'm sure that there will be an emotional attachment to the process. At least with Step 1, working out what your home is worth, should be straight forward for you! I think a blog is a great idea. Look forward to it. Dave
When the time comes for us to sell our PPOR I planned to try to go it alone, so am interested to learn. Jenny
Ok well I'll fit it in my schedule Not anticipating putting home on market until Aug but will start blog when I begin my quest!
