    Hi all

I am looking for a little direction or advice for a beginner in the share trading market, preferrably information about blue chip shares, but also other lesser known public trading companies.

My focus and best feeling at the moment is the mining industry, and it is something I can relate to, being in the engineering/trades industry, but I am open to learning about all markets.
I am watching share prices from companies such as Santos, Rio, BHP and Merchison, and although keeping a close eye on them have not bought any shares yet.

Could the more experienced traders out there give me a few tips or suggestions as to what a younger, less experienced investor should be looking at?

    Thanks for your help!

    Sam
