Just thought I'd say a quick hello.
24 from WA - go the eagles!
Good to see another West Aussie here. This is a great site for learning maybe they should charge for the Uni Degree in Investment and Finance hihihihi.....
Got enough 'degree debt' at the moment, if they charge for this one I'm going to have more HECS debt than investment debt!
I agree though, I've been reading posts for a while and the site seems like a great addition to the more formal.
G'day Prop WA,
23 from WA as well, definitely GO THE EAGLES!!
No HECS for me, but over 800K in "good debt" to service...
Always good to see more Westies on here
Thanks for the post.
Thankfully I'm not giving the Government that bigger a smile with my HECS but even a $1 seems too much.
Got work paying for all the education related expenses now - should've gone that track before.
$800k @ 23 - doing well! (I know it's debt but I'm thinking asset backed).
Great to see you here..are you holding any Managed Funds, Direct Shares etc OR have plans for such?
Hi & thanks Redwing!
At present, most of my 'non-property' investments centre around direct shares.
Just a couple of weeks ago I sold down the managed fund portfolio I had due to an increased need for liquidity and some cash (had AXA WS Global Shares -Value, Platinum Int'l, CFS Geared Aus Shares, CFS Global Resources).
I always had a small parcel of shares but added to it with surplus funds from MF sale.
A fair whack of my shares would be in the 'highly speculative' 'extremely small cap' sector which I'm comfortable with as it's a percentage I wanted to allocate to this risk-arena and all are most certainly short term oppurtunities.
Once I've finished the renovations at home and restoration of an awesome little vehicle I picked up recently, I'll be stepping back into MF's but probably more at the boutique end.
Two smaller company resources fund, a bio-tech and maybe a geared global property fund are all up for consideration. As you can probably tell my risk profile leans towards 'aggressive'
Also depends what comes along at work and if those opp's outway others.
Welcome "Property WA". Good to see another WA member, and especially one who supports the 2007 Premiers.
Back to back baby!!
Can't wait for September...
Just wanted to say a quick thanks for the post.
Got caught up in a busy spot over the last day or so.
Looking forward to the Derby!
