Any Gains around Comm Games?

    Hey all,

    I am looking to buy an Investment property in Southport (gold coast) in the lead up to the 2018 Comm Games happening.

    Doesn't anyone remember what property markets did surrounding the Olympics in Sydney? did it affect surrounding areas...? Homebush?

    And my main questions is, was it a bubble and did it deflate in the years after the games wrapped up..? Should i buy now and sell around the Games or hold?
