Bankwest deposits safe?

    Hi All,
    With the takeover of HBOS in the UK should do you think we should pull our funds out of bankwest bank accounts and put them somewhere "relatively" safer, such as accounts with lower interest rates on offer?
    Any thoughts?

    I peronally think Bankwest is very safe

    I am worried a little about Macquarie, NAB and ANZ
    but not because they are not making record profits but because of bad publicity which can do a lot of damage to their share price and could cause them problems.

    Wouldn't it be safer now?


    We've seen alot of inflows from the first one, clients have freaked out about the news and pull their money out of the accounts to invest in a traditional bank.
