Best Online Broking Accounts for small investors?

    Hi everyone.
    I am fairly new at the whole investing side of things. Can anyone direct me to the best value online broker accounts. I am wanting to invest around $1000 at a time, every 2 months initially. I want to invest into index funds and will do so as I save the cash up.
    Can anyone help me please?

    I use Macquarie Prime. $20 (min) trades and a cash account linked which gives you the RBA cash rate.
