Asia particularly India and Korea ( but don't neglect Vietnam either )

are the places where growth looks good ( with some safety ) is obvious

it normally takes me at least a week each STF ( after i wade through all the tiny deyails )

    i am also researching EAI ( a LIC )

    always take care

( Japan for example might finally implode )

Sounds like you're positive so i'll wait for your verdict.
I'll do my own research in the meantime
    Cheers

am leaning towards EAi so far ( despite the higher fees )

but may buy some of both India/Asia will be a tough beast to tame

Price looks inviting but I have VAE & VGE so I'm wondering if its worth buying another in that area

    Your thoughts?

    VAE ( i don't hold )

    the good bits

    1. it ( tries to ) pay quarterly

    2. fees are low ( 0.4% )

    3. not currency hedged

the maybe not so good bits

holds 883 stocks ( is that too diluted )

excludes Japan ( is that good or bad ) , the Japanese still have some good companies but the economy has plenty of troubles so a chance too be extra unloved ( except by the Bank of Japan )

    VGE ( i don't hold )

the good bits see 1 to 3 above

the maybe not so good bits

holds 4686 stocks ( see the comment above .. on steroids )

includes markets i have very little understanding of

you are putting a LOT of faith in the fund manager ( although Vanguard has been good to me )

i used to hold IEM ( but exited at a profit )

is VGE good bang for the buck , or just a big prayer the global economy will go forward some day

    cheers

i bought into EAI today ( the willingness to be overweight in Indian investments is an attractive feature to me ) @ 96c a share

i haven't rejected the idea of adding extra ASIA ( despite my preference for EAI )

    ( DYOR )

    please take care

a very good chance you will get a second chance ( for a second small holding ) soon

    i was tempted ( but resisted ) @ $5.20 today

please remember i class this as a gamble on the mid-term Asian growth ( 2 to 5 years ) story

( more share price increase than dividend return )

given the current markets few will make accurate guesses ( most of the time )
