Am looking to transition into financial planning career from banking (15+ years, corporate banking). I am currently doing my DFP but will follow through with ADFP. After that I plan to look for a job to get some experience. Need advice / tips on best entry point into financial planning and ways to leverage work experience to date and fast track career.

The best option (and fast track) is to apply for the financial adviser role within the bank.

Unfortunately my bank does not offer financial planning services in Australia! The AMP Horizons Academy sounds like a good starting point. Any thoughts?

Hi, I just came across your posts as I am considering starting my own FP business and wondering how you both have gone on establishing your businesses.

any tips on how you did it would be appreciated
