I read this story with interest, if only because the price paid in 2003 seemed so far above what the median was at the time for Cabramatta units- especially 1 bedders. Turns out that other 1 bedders in 03 were selling for $155K range so someone (probably an uninformed or especially lazy buyer) overpaid back then by $90K or so. Huge! It does go to show you, however, the importance of research and the ability required to not get caught up in the hype that a property boom can generate.
