Divorce accounting for 40% of sales

    If you believe what you read, then this is sad news indeed. A REA from McGrath's at Edgecliff says that divorces now account for 30-40% of his sales. And even worse when many of them bought in 03 and are now forced to sell up for less than what they paid back in the boom.

    We picked up our PPOR in 2001 in a divorce sale. I believe we picked up a bargain as a result. Now that I look back, may even have been able to negotiate better and get an even better bargain and bought it for less (we were very keen!).
