I woke up, late, this morning and looked out the window. For a moment I thought there was something wrong with the sun. It was 10am and my thermometer measured 18 degrees. I was witnessing a dust storm.

I have seen dust storms in the Sahara Desert, but this is different. It is red. All our topsoil is being blown away. My washing is bright red. My vehicle is bright red. Choking dust is effecting my breathing. The Storm extends from Broken Hill to Canberra to Sydney to Brisbane. I have a bad feeling, and I hope this will not be a regular event in the future.
