has anyone noticed the movements of emegering markets in the last few weeks... while most australian share funds have been moving somewhat sideways with the market, im in 3 emerging market funds and there doing fantastic since my interception in early feburary

    annualised figures

UBS Emerging Markets is returning 45.9%
Perpetual Small Companies is returning 44.7%
ING Emerging Companies is returning 39.4%

UBS Aust share fund is returning 25% and BT Aust Shares is returning 20% over the same time

and most of this has happened in the last few weeks

anyone else with similar funds noticed anything similar or would know why the returns are great??

    DaveA,

How can I invest in UBS Emerging Markets? Did you go directly to UBS?
I can't find the application form but I can read the information on the fund on their site.

the UBS emerging markets fund doesn't have any fund data as its brand new, I think your quoting the UBS Emerging Companies fund which has those results.

I'm in this fund and have been very happy with it. UBS also have a low MER compared to other fund managers, but has a min of 20k per fund entry.

You can go direct, or download a PDS via investsmart. Doesn't make much difference cause they don't pay trail commissions in the fund internally. There also arn't any entry fees going direct.

    crc_error,
    Thanks for the clarification.
I read the pds and it's a high return high risk fund.
I'll think it over before I put money in it.

Davea, thanks for bringing the funds to my attention.
