I've only Juuuuust started the process of opening ANZ E*Trade account - I was expecting to have access to ETFs - but I cant see any.

    Are they there?

or should i be looking elsewhere?

CUrrently I only have a CFS first state account.

    Thanks

Just do a stock search for which ever one you want:

    STW
    SFY
    SLF
    IOO

    etc...

Sounds like ETFs are becoming all the fashion in Australia now.

I'm going to check out and see if they are available for purchase thru CommSec on Monday.

I want to get some for my SMSF.

ETF's are just like shares. They are listed on the ASX just the same as WOW or BHP or any other stock and are bought and sold the same way. As such, they can be bought through CommSec.

Not applicable to SMSF, but CommSec also margin lend against STW, SFY, SLF, IEM, IJP at 70% and IEU, IJH, IJE, IOO, IVE & IVV at 75%.
