Everyone's Take on the Current Market Climate?

    This has been a somewat unusual week on the market thus far... I'd argue that the Dow has been less volitile than it has been in the past few weeks and months, and in what seems to be an increasing trend the ASX does not seem to be following the US's lead on days where their market rallies, yet is more than happy to follow the Dow when it slides.

    So what is everyone's take on where the market is at?

    Hi Chris,

    I think the VIX is now around 40, at the extreme the VIX was 70!!!

    I would say that the All Ordinaries are stuck in a range between approx 3200 and 4400, and expect them to remain bouncing around within that range for some time yet. I think the bear remains strong so would not be enormously surprised to see it break 3200 and head towards further lows.
