    Hi,

Last year I got a large tax return on my Australian funds. This year I have halved the funds that are Australian. As a result, I only got half the refund. Are Franked funds consistant or do they rise and fall? How do they work?

I get the definition of what Franking is. I would like to know how to work out company tax in a managed fund. With up to 200 companies in each fund, the maths would be insane. I would like to know what my refund will be each year. (I am on the minimum tax bracket).

I'm not sure you can predict it accurately. The amount of franking credits you receive will depend on the breakdown of each company and how much dividend they pay and what the franking level of each dividend is.

It will vary from year to year.

Think of it as a bonus - if you get it, great. If you don't - not to worry.
