I haven't looked at this site for a while, but when I recently did, I was pleasantly surprised to find free sales histories now supplied by the Dept of Lands on their site. Though it's only for regional areas, it's still highly useful, especially for those of us with country and coastal properties. Simply go to the Search section and then click on sales histories on the LH sidebar. Another terrific free resource. www.propertyguide.com.au
Now this is really strange. When I first posted this I could input a street and get ALL the recorded sales for that complete street, including price and date. Now I can only get limited sales, and usually 1-4 only in a particular street. What is going on? Anyone would think that someone from Dept of Lands read my post and decided to switch off the free resource..... Very weird!!
