    Hello, I'm new!

I am interested in hearing of people's experiences with ETF vs managed funds.

I will shortly have a six figure amount to spread accross at least a half dozen vehicles. My interest is in 5+ year capital gains with a modest income stream (2-3%).

    I am a relative novice.

Thanks Rod. I suppose I need to find myself a Yoda! Then I might hear the phrase "learned much, you have".

I will take your advice and read through the indexing thread. Thanks again.

Are you going to be regularly adding amounts or is this all you have to invest for the next few years?

    Spoiled sport!

I was hoping this would turn into a Great Quotes from Star Wars thread.

Samaka, I'll opt for dividend reinvestment and add a coupla thou a year (probably into new funds for diversification).
