    I've been doing some research on SMSFs as I plan to set one up next year. Has there been any further developments in the past year with regards to borrowing in an SMSF that I've missed as the thred doesn't really provide any concrete info ????

    ummm Yes!

    It's been law for about a year and banks have been lending on it since about May...

    Do some googling - there's heaps of material out there on lending to super funds.
