I'm 26 and do not have any form of health cover.

What are the financial/tax implications of this?

Can you recommend a good provider please?
    Thanks :)

Depending on your income you may be able to get a 20% rebate on private health insurance and you may not need to pay the medicare levy surcharge if you have private health insurance.

There is no tax implications. If you had private health cover it just means you would get a little bit of tax money back.

You should do the research to find a good provider. There is comparison sites online that compare them all, saving you the hassle from having to visit each site individually to find the best price.

    Examples.

Compare Private Health Insurance Policies the Choosi way! | Choosi Australia

Accident Insurance Comparison - Personal Accident Insurance Quotes | Income Protection Direct

    Etc......
