Was a reasonable day, some are saying that the volume traded was low and the sky is about to fall. Full Moons, high tide, tea leaves and eclipse are all suposed to point to the DOW falling on the 28th.

The Dow closed down 200 odd points this morning.

Should see interesting times for our market come Monday.

Possibly another good buying time for the Navra fund :)

For me it's sit on my hands and wait time. AMP and BHP go ex tomorrow and some big pay days for me coming up in the next couple of months, then it's bank season.

    Hi guys,

Well, she's through 6400. The ASX200 is now trading at 6415.

If she closes today above 6422.3 then it will be a record high close. That previous high was achieved on 24/7/07 and immediately preceded the sub-prime correction. Of course, if it does close above 6422.3 then I'll post the analysis of the Navra fund relative performance through the correction in my Navra tracking thread.

For those interested, Dr Oliver sees the US avoiding a recession and the ASX closing the year at around 6700.

    Here's the link:

    Cheers,
    Michael.

    Michael,

"If she closes today above 6422.3 then..."

    Not today :D:D

Close at 6422.3 may give you some picture, but I would wait for close at/above 6436.7 (higher high for XJO).
Nice projection level from Oliver. I've got 6690/95 (short term). :p

XJO may hit 6540/42 & 6600/03 IF DOW stays above 14 000 level.
Another pull back is possible if DOW falls below 13 480/90 level.

Below is current XJO weekly chart.
A,B,C = breaks above long term resistance line.

It would be fantastic if you could explain how you get these figures from just that graph, im guessing its the top of the line extented up to a the y axis to get a figure...

I subscribe to Nick Radges website.
Got an email on Tuesday that basically said if the Dow gets above 13,900 soon (and then gets above 14,000) then its likely to get to tagets of 14,900 and then 15,700.
The danger is if it doesnt get to 13,900 soon - and goes below 13,519 - that would signal a possible bear market.
So Tropo (as usual) is pretty close to the mark
