That time of year is just around the corner for those with NSW properties. I have just received a notice of valuation from the Department of lands. They seem to have upgraded their website to now accomodate owners to view online valuations for their properties. They also provide you with a "valuation objection kit" http://www.lands.nsw.gov.au/Records/Valuation/default.htm I am yet to look at it but will do so in the next few days. I would be interested to hear from others if their land values in NSW have increased compared to last year. NickM
I haven't had any land tax bills (yet) Nick, but I will be letting you know when they turn up unwanted again in my letterbox! May need to get a 2nd job to handle it this year..... *sigh* Another of the joys of owning property..... along with rates, water, strata, PM fees, maintenance......
Jacque, You've heard this before and no doubt done well out of property but considered shares instead?
Yes Glebe I actually do have a nicely balanced portfolio of both- Steve (better half) is the share and funds guru, however. I let him take care of all of that! Have tried to understand them more and get into it, but they just don't capture my attention.
