Latest RBA Financial Aggs Are Out

    RBA: Financial Aggregates-June 2009

    I don't know if anyone has looked over them yet, but the financial aggregates for June are out.

    I actually thought they'd be a lot better than they are given that things were a lot brighter in June than in the earlier months of the year.

    Nonetheless it would appear that any growth in the property market is almost wholly being driven by owner occupiers, with investors still sitting on the sidelines.

    That said it will be interesting to see July/August's figures given some brighter news has been leaking out about the property market which might appeal to some investors looking to jump back in the market.

    Businesses are still paying down debt at a rapid pace, and personal credit is also being paid down at quite a rapid pace. So it would seem that the trend of owner occupied housing being is the major pillar that is holding the economy up continues...
