Hi I know that this sound ignorant but i would really like to know how listed property works. Is it a company that uses shares to buy buildings and use the income attained from these buildings to give out dividends? Also how do economic factors such as inflation, the exchange rate, interest rates, recession, etc affect listed property? Is there also a typical format that is required for companies' portfolios? i.e. Is there a specific perecntage that you need to invest in industries, retail and office? What are these typical percentages if there are any?
