    and whats a further bonus, if you hold the units over 12 months, the tax you pay on the income distributed will be entitled to the 50% CGT discount.

    Sure, if you are doing your own research on only a few funds - this is quite reasonable.

    As per my Compare Funds website, I want to be able to do this same analysis across a broad range of funds, and automate the whole process - which makes it infinitely more difficult when nobody publishes this data in a readily accessible format.

    Thanks for suggestions. My goals is an unfortunate one - I may need to withdraw the money from the market in 4-5 years, so that's why I am not looking that much at growth or "never sell" equity - unless mortgage down-payment can be made using securities. I don't think about retirement, I want to live now.

    I'll take a look at Cromwell and Orchard.

    Hi CRC,

    I think your getting Capital Gains mixed up with Income Distributions.
