Could we have a sub-topic on index funds please. While most people either trade or use managed funds, the little information in the posts or threads on index funds is scattered across this forum. While this type of subject is not a flavour of the month, it is a valid form of investing and deserves recognition!

Also, I am learning an incredible amount by reading other beginners posts. As there is such an incredible infow of new members (good for you:cool:) perhaps a registra of newbies would be possible.

Thanks for providing such a great site.

    Hi Johny,

There is already a topic for Managed Funds and also Exchange Traded Funds which Indexed Funds could fall into both. Consider Vanguard Australian Shares Index Fund which is an unlisted fund (which would be discussed in Managed Funds) and Vanguard Australian Shares Index ETF (VAS) (which would be discussed in the Exchange Traded Fund).

    Cheers,

    Dan

PS This is general information. Before making an investment decision speak to your FPA registered Financial Planner.

Just updating: The Google Custom Search is effective. Type in 'index funds'.
