    Hi Guys,

    Have a two part question

If a company name is changed does the trust deed need to then be updated if the company is the trustee of the trust?

Is it possible to change the name of a discretionary trust?

The trust won't really change, the trustee won't be changing - just their name. This should probably be noted in a minute. All title deeds will need to be changed as will bank accounts etc.

Changing the name of the trust should be possible depending on the terms of the deed. There is a form to fill in with the ATO too.

Yep it should be pretty straightforward as the details don't seem to be changing, just the name.
