    Yay, looks like we are going to get fibre-optics. I can hardly wait; as I wait for each page to load on my current computer!

    What's the point paying $100/m or more to have a lightning fast connection to your ISP when the webpage you're trying to open is in the US or Europe and you're going through your ISP who's only leasing a tiny pipeline?

    Also, if labor get their way with the internet filtering we could even have slower speeds than ADSL2+

    However, where data isn't going through tiny ISP pipelines or internet filters speeds should be extremely fast and we may even get quality IP TV
