Chris Gray is Australia’s most recognised property expert. He is a presenter on Sky Business News on Friday nights, and provides opinion and commentary regularly in national print media. Chris is a qualified accountant, buyers’ agent and mortgage broker and has been investing since the age of 22. He is CEO of property portfolio company Empire, which searches, negotiates and renovates properties on behalf of time-poor professionals.

Chris turned $35,000 into a $3.5m personal property portfolio in under 9 years, semi–retired at age 31 and now 38, owns over $10m of property. Nick Moustacas began his career in a Sydney based, 4 partner Chartered Accounting Practice where he remained up until 1994. He then established a small firm with a Partner based in Wollongong in 1995. In 1998 the firm achieved the NSW Best Small Practice Award from the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

In 2002, Nick established Strategic Wealth Management. This firm provides a range of accounting and taxation services. Nick provides specialist tax advice to investors and businesses on a range of issues.

Calling on his personal experiences with property investing, he can relate and advise on matters other than just tax related issues.

Over the past 3 years the firm has increased its focus toward Self Managed Super Funds and successfully utilised some great tax planning strategies in this field. He employs 8 staff and also has a financial planning division.

Apart from being an active investor in property, shares and managed funds, Nick is also a registered Tax Agent, registered Company Auditor and a Justice of the Peace. Since 2005, Nick has been a regular speaker on tax structures and planning for property investors on behalf of “The Reno Kings” in their Property to the Max seminars. The seminars are generally held in Brisbane and he is a guest speaker along with the founders Paul Eslick and Geoff Doidge.

He is also interviewed regularly in relation to property & tax issues as well as SMSF matters.

In 2006, along with some other like minded investors, Nick became a founding director and contributed to the establishment of an online forum and educational portal for investors InvestEd :: Wealth Education for Australian Investors. At the time of writing, membership was in excess of 9,000 people. Membership is free and provides valuable resource for all investors.
