And no, I'm not talking about Makybe Diva! Though the fact that the Melbourne Cup was on yesterday might have something to do with a bit of a lag effect and the market's exceptional open today.

Its up a full percent in the first 15 minutes of trading and it seems hard to imagine it closing in the red from here.

    Go you good thing!

    Cheers,
    Michael.

    Michael.

As you see 4480 level gone with the wind ( intraday ).
    Now XJO might retrace down say ... 10 - 15 points...( + - )
If we close today above 4480 on the strong volume this might generate buy signal for some bulls still sitting on the fence.
    Keep $miling ...

    still near 1% up.

I'm thinking Michael was pretty drunk at the Melbourne Cup if he thinks it was yesterday ;)

Uncharted territory now, up over 60 points to 4519. If we're not careful it will close 1.5% higher. I can't wait for it to close so Steve can tell us how NavTrade did today. :D

Maybe I should just go do some work...

    Michael.

Watching the great race the other day must be postively tame compared to your index obsession Michael! I guess property seems absolutely dull by comparison ;)

Was there a race on the other day? :D I couldn't even remember which day it was... Oops...

Almost closed. Has given away some of its intraday highs but still looks like closing a solid 1% up for the day. Nice form hey! I'll back that nag again.

    Cheers,
    Michael.

    Mark,

You could always ask your boss for an advance........is he into shares? :D :D

Seriously Mark...... if you don't make money out of this brief section of the 'rollercoaster ride' I have little doubt you'll be doing very well on later sections. :)

    All the best.

WBC started off very well this morning thanks to its v good profit announcement (was up over 5% at one point - hopefully NavTrade sold then !!) - ended up around 3.25% up in the end. BSL finished off strong too.

Thanks for the tip hahahahahaa! It's not that I don't have money, it's just that the money I have at the moment is going into paying my dad back.

    *bump*

Funds are now up to over 7% net of fees for this quarter for both wholesale and retail.

Hopefully these choppy market conditions will continue until the year end. :D

    Nigel,

OK newbie question warning!... How did you arrive at 7% for the quarter? I bought in at the beginning of October at 1.0723 and today InvestorServe is showing the unit price at 1.0934. My math makes this a 1.97% increase and a far cry from 7%.

Did I buy in when the funds had already moved 5% in October, or is my math wrong somehow.

    Please help...

    Thanks,
    Michael.
