Hi all, just wandering if anyone could share some positive news/ outlook for the Global or Australian economy ?

We need some balance from all the doom and gloom.

Sim - anyway to pull up some old video archives of the good times ?

Ok,I'll start. Interest rates are on their way down rather than up, starting next week.
One day the credit crisis will be over, could be 3 months, could be 18 months who knows?
But whilst it continues it's presenting to us a whole load of undervalued stocks that could easily bounce by 20% or more.
The longer it drags on, the more people become immune to all the bad news and start looking to the future again instead.
Finally one of the biggest positives, the USA will soon have a new president.

A number of wise and wealthy veteran investors have reminded us lately that it is times like these where long term investors make their fortunes. I gladly follow this advice as these guys have seen this so many times before. I have personally been fortunate to get to know more than a few very wealthy old investors who love it when these situations arise. Buy like mad in periods of gloom and spend the rest of the time at the beach, fishing and golf course etc until the next bear market comes around.

    Choose your mentors wisely.

    Cheers - Gordon

If I had to give up half our net wealth to get that bumbling hayseed out 2 days earlier, I happily would. Well that's not true, but he's a freak of nature anyway  That's a family with some serious issues.
