    Hi All,

Haven't been here for a while (Jacque, stop scolding). Thought I'd give you a quick update on the last few months activities.

Most things have gone smoothly, although sewerage, water etc connections are always a challenge as you're dealing with a number of different agencies who don't talk to each other. But that's all squared away now.

I haven't really experienced much drama with it, lots of calls with contractors - builders, surveyors (subdivision), landscapers, answering questions and calming them when they think they have an issue. We are about a month over the expected finish date and a smidge over budget, but I'd actually calculated a 10% contingency anyway, so we're actually under - if that makes sense.

I'll post some pics next week of the final product and of course some of the progress stages.

    Cheers

    Jane,

    Yes please...

And if you could post some of your key learnings, or biggest challenges that you overcame along the way. I'd love to have a heads up on what to look out for as I start my development. I'm at the polar opposite end of the timescale to yourself.

    Well done!
    Michael.

    Hiya Jane :)
Love the fact that you're the one calming the workers down, rather than the other way around! Then again, I can just see you diligently ticking off lists and interrogating each tradesman as to why A, B and C haven't been done on time or according to budget :D
    You tell 'em!!!

    Kevin,

Just go to "manage attachments" at the bottom of your new post then browse and upload the picture. It will automatically create the thumbnail within the post. You need to be in advanced mode to do this, but new posts default to advanced mode. If you're editing a previous post you need to select "go advanced" and then "manage attachments".

Start a new thread and show me more! :D

    Cheers,
    Michael.

    Oh dear !
Now I've put my foot in it...
Tried to upload the first one in a new thread but the message came back that it the file was too big or something.

Oh to be a techno geek instead of a would be developer....on second thoughts...maybe not.

OK I am determined to load it shortly in a new thread..here goes..

    Kevin,

I think its a 100Kb limit on file sizes. Save it as a JPG format and you should be fine. Oh to be a developer instead of a techo... :(

    Cheers,
    Michael.

Why don't you upload to the photo gallery ? That's what it is there for :D

You can display the picture in your post by copying the "BB Image Code" text that is displayed in the photo details:
