Recommendation for S-E Qld SMSF administrator?

This is my first post. I am on the Sunshine Coast.

Long story short - my wife and I have used the services of a small accounting firm in Brisbane for years. A few years ago I started a pension in our SMSF; my wife's account is still in accumulation phase. We elected to have entirely segregated accounts because of differing risk profiles, investment goals and for tax reasons. Put simply, our accountant has made a real mess of the auditing and tax returns. Clearly, it is beyond him.

I'd appreciate recommendations for either an accountant experienced in SMSF administration in this region, or even one of the online administrators [if experiences have been positive]. I'm in a bit of a tight bind, time wise, so all replies gratefully acknowledged.

 

SMSF Admin - Segregated Level

I'm Joseph (Joe) an experienced SMSF Adminsitrator based in the Gold Coast, I would be able to help with your situation as I have done a few "member level" fund administration over the years.

Before we go any further I would just like to check to see if it is fully segregated i.e:

Each member has their own bank account in the fund
Each member has their own investments
There is no joint bank account in the fund
Your wife is in accumilation mode only
You are in Pension mode only, with no accumilation account or in Transition to Retirement arrangements

As to my arrangement with interstate clients, I either receive source documents either by email or photocopied in mail. I can come up to your location on weekends if you wish. My fees are based on the number of investments in the fund as opposed to charging hourly rate. I am a registered tax agent and will be lodging the returns with the audit being outsourced to maintain independance as per ATO and Accounting Bodies requirements.
