    rents remained unchanged for like 5 years after countless interest rate rises, and now they make a big deal about rents catching up?

    The rents still fall short of all the rate rises landlords had to swallow over the last few years.

    So true, but at least they are moving upwards- something to be thankful for :)

    I would anticipate in Sydney a faster moving rental market as well, with 6-12 mth increases not uncommon, especially in higher demand areas.
