Resources needed for spending our way out of recession?

    Don't governments normally spend big $ on infrastructure (roads, rail, bridges etc) to kick start their economies to avoid recession? All sounds very resource intensive to me?:confused:

    Seems bizzare that BHP is pushing $21 today or about 60% below May peaks?
