    Hi All

Has anybody found a good site that allows comparison searches on wholesale and retail funds?

The site I have used only show the retail funds (for obvious reason) but of course that is not giving me a full picture.

Also how different are the wholesale funds compared to the retail funds. The ones I have looked at still seem to have the same MER and the only difference is a performance dif (slight), a higher minimum and no entry commission.

    Cheers

Tradingroom has wholesale funds as well as retail.

Colonial First State is a good example of cheaper MERs through wholesale funds.

CFS Property Securities: 0.81% vs 1.66%
    CFS Imputation: 0.96% vs 1.86%
    etc.

    Thanks for that Sim.

They are right down the bottom after the retail funds in the search. What I was looking for was them interpossed with the retail. Can't have everything I guess ;) Its a retail world after all.

    Cheers

That reduced MER seems to also project into the performance as the wholesale seems to do slightly better of a time period

Yes, given that the management fee comes out of the investment capital - a lower fee will have a positive impact of the long term returns. Another reason why Wholesale funds are better in my opinion.
