    Hi,

I'm getting some shares transferred to me by my employer. I want to know what kind of tax I'll be up for?

Are there any taxes from the transfer or just on the earnings each year and then when I sell?

Also, if the shares are transferred to me at $0.50 per share and I sell them at a loss, am I able to claim this loss to reduce the tax I pay?

Once transferred, if I immediately sell them, what taxes will I be up for?

I really appreciate any insight into this.

    Cheers,
    SGH
