Research by AFG Global Funds Management Index shows that on a per capita basis, Australians have $44,911 invested in managed funds – nearly 15% more than the second ranking country, the USA.

This is based on final quarter 05 data.

Inflows to managed funds in Australia have grown by 97.5% since 2000, however, during the last six months of 2005 growth was a relatively modest 5.9%. This compares with growth rates for the USA of 8.0%, Canada – 10.3% and UK – 10.2% during the same six month period.

    Cheers

I doubt they'd be able to distinguish between you or I having a few quid in a managed fund, and a super mob with a few quid in a managed fund?
