Starved for income? Hungry investors hunt dividend ETFs

    ( DYOR )

now i hold the Australian versions ( the basket has ASX listed shares ) of

Vanguard High Yield ( VHY ) ( bought in 2011 up 21% but the divs reinvested have be rather good )

IShares High Yield ( IHD ) ( bought in 2014 and 2016 , currently in a slight profit , and the gain by DRP hasn't been that special either )

and SPDR Select Dividend ( SYI ) ( bought in 2011 , reduced in 2014 but added to in 2016 and 2018 currently up 16% , but has some dividend surprises sometimes , somehow manages to be holding a fair amount of a company that is taken over at a nice premium so the DRP gain are right up clse to VHY AND i have taken some profit to boot

i totally agree with the caveat emptor ( especially in the current climate )
