Have you taken advantage of Super Choice and moved your super to a different fund ? Do you plan to do so ?

I must say that I'm a little surprised by these poll results so far - I would have thought more people would take the opportunity to exert more control over their super.

Can I ask people who votes "I don't plan on moving" to answer - why ?

Is it because you don't think changing will bring you any benefits ?

Are you confident that your current super fund is the best option for you ?

Do you already get good choice in your current super scheme ?

Is there anything that would change your mind about not moving ?

I didn't so much exercise super choice as just put my two plans together in the one. When I changed jobs a few years back, I put my old super in Navra via Wealthtrac. Finally got around to adding the super from my least old job this week (working in financial planning has it's perks, hee hee).

Given Super's v.long timeframe for me I've taken the approach of getting my international share exposure through Super. I've already set this up and whilst international equities have been a dog of an asset class in recent times, it is, as I mentioned, a long term thing...So at present I'm happy with set and forget.

With respect to the self managed option (which many thought ppl would rush to in droves once they had the chance) I won't be doing that just yet. There's only so many hours in the day. Until I'm much much closer to retiring I just don't have the time to devote to self managed super which is gonna be preserved for more than 30 yrs... I want to focus my time on investments I can enjoy long before that ! :D

    My 2.2 cents worth...

I certainly put the self-managed super in the too-hard basket right now ... compliance would take way too much time !

    Hi All,

I voted "don't plan on moving" as I contribute to a "defined benefit scheme" and am not able to access super choice.

There was no option for "not being able to access super choice" so seemed the best option for me :D

As self employed people we have had the choice of where to put our super anyway.

    Ditto Bubbles.

As self employed people we exercised 'super choice' before it entered the lexicon. :)

I've got my money in Telstra's Rollover plan, it's low fees and has been returning well.
