suspension from quotation ?

    So, I tend to read all the announcements on the ASX page, and found this one:

    OMC 2:57 PM Suspension from Official Quotation.

    Basically it says OMC will be suspended from quoting due to compulsory acquisition notices.

    Am i right in thinking this basically means that someone is acquiring OMC ?
    A suspension from quotation is different to a trading halt isnt it, and i could still buy, if i chose ?
