We are going on the Friday....
Got one free ticket in the API mag - anyone else know where to get extra freebies like last year (I remember there was a website that had free tickets on somersoft forum).

They usually put them in the Property sections of the SMH and Telegraph, from memory. Will let you know if I get any freebies, as we are unfortunately away that weekend :(

Actually I can go on Friday now :)
Give us a PM and we'll arrange to meet up for coffee or something whilst we're in there. Looking forward to it!

    OK,

    I'm getting jealous now... :(

I've just downloaded Michael Yardney's free ticket and I'm thinking I might be feeling a wee bit sick on Friday ;) If I am then I'll look out for ya'll at the Reno Kings presentation. I might even PM Jacque a bit earlier and give her my mobile number so we can "RV with comms" as an army mate of mine says...

    Cheers,
    Michael.

    Hello,

I have never been before to a property expo and am planning on going to this one. I have a feeling though that i would find the seminars more interesting and useful than most of the displays.

    Am i correct?

Totally, the displays are pretty useless, lots of highrise buildings etc . Some displays ,such as Residex and Reno Kings are a little more useful.
The franchisee area is not bad, and some stalls even let you try out the merchandise - such as a "Subway" type franchise or coffee vending machine..
But the real reason to go is for the speakers.

As above - Reno Kings at midday.
Other "must watch" will be John Edwards from Residex at 3pm, and Michael Yardney at 3.45pm , you can get free tickets from Michael Yardneys website as well - click here to the whole thing, value $18 !!
There should be some good share presenatations as well, dont have times for them. Check the property expo website , it may have it (last time I looked a week ago it didn't).

Worthwhile day- especially as our little group got to sit almost in the front row for the Reno Kings talk :)
Geez, those two have a lot of energy!

The usual developers, marketers, real estate agencies, financiers, media companies all flogging their stuff but I still enjoyed all the freebies. My showbags are full of fantales, minties, lollipops and m and m's. And all on a freebie ticket :)

On the serious side, however, I did glean some useful information, learnt a lot about a new conveyancing company that sounds very promising (look out for clickconveyancing.com coming soon) and checked out some very cute looking young men in suits (ok I don't just go for the lollies.... )
All in all, on top of an absolutely beautiful Sydney summer day, lunch at Darling Harbour and an easy trip in (with half price parking) 'twas a pleasant experience.
Now Michael, if you're extra nice to me next time I see you, I might even save you a sweet or two seeing as you had to work instead ;)

Yes, and the whole day all I could think about was how you guys were having such a great time socialising and learning more about my favourite topic... :(

I really really really want to be financially independent so I can CHOOSE whether I hold a regular 9-to-5 job or not. For now though, I need the cash flow.

Save an M&M for me at SIG ;)

    Cheers,
    Michael.
