    They say that gambling is a "tax on the innumerate". And it pretty much always is.

    But the bloke in this very interesting article is an exception. He understands the maths, and found the casinos desperate enough to sacrifice their built-in edge and was able to negotiate his own gaming rules. Not every sucker playing $5 tables, pumping coins into a pokie, or watching money go across the counter on scratchies (while some poor ******* waits to just buy a fricken newspaper) will be able to use the same skills, moment of opportunity or negotiating leverage.
