The power of letting winners run

i NORMALLY like to rescue my cash ( and costs ) at about 150% ( keeping about 60% of the holding )

remember i am trying for an income stream in the future , BUT the market is liable to have the mother of all corrections in the next few years ( so try not to have investment cash at risk , where it can be avoided , even some of the companies i select have failed , absolutely , some more could fail in the future even ones 'winning ' , currently ) )

The pitfalls of total return investing

i do not follow this style of investing ( total return or aiming for mostly capital gain )

but i am aiming for a lifetime income stream NOT a big pile of cash at retirement
