The Rudd you voted for is not the one you got

The PM has been revealed as a Whitlamite in conservative clothing.
EVERY now and then you see a change in the political spin-cycle that is so audacious, so contradictory that you have to go back and check the facts — just to make sure you haven't imagined the whole thing….

    Weird behaviour.
Who in his right mind gives money away just to be spent and nothing to show for?

When has anyone ever got the politician they were supposed voting for?

The real shame for us Australians is we are forced to vote and must always feel this small burden of guilt in knowing that the often moronic governance is a result of someone we voted for when the reality is more often than not that we are merely forced to vote for the best of a very bad bunch.

I used to think Pauline Hanson was a moron (still do), and I was ashamed that her party could win votes in an election in a country like ours that was supposedly intelligent and informed, but now I'm beginning to believe that it wouldn't matter if she was our PM... hell I'd even vote for her these days for the sheer entertainment value it would bring.
