Market up 50-odd yesterday, 80-odd so far today. :)

If some good buying occurred recently, perhaps the boxes of champagne can be moved a bit closer to the fridge in anticipation of some upcoming chilling needs?

    Time will tell.......

    DOW up 217 points overnight!

That's what I like to see coming into the last day of the Quarter. Should give the Distribution that last chance of a bit of an increase. :D

Markets rally after statement from Fed
By Krishna Guha in Washington and Jennifer Hughes in New York.

The Federal Reserve on Thursday fuelled a rally in global markets after it issued an unexpectedly nuanced statement to accompany a quarter-point rise in interest rates to 5.25 per cent. The Fed hardened its language on inflation and signalled a bias toward more rate rises but fell short of suggesting a cast iron intention to raise rates again at the next policy meeting on August 8.

If we have one firm ally in the Navra Fund, it is the Editors who write the headlines for the financial press.

They have to capture attention. They have to make the news 'bigger than big'. If US interest rates go up it will be a disaster. If they don't go up, inflation will be out of control and.......it will be a disaster. If interest rates fall.......it will be a bigger disaster.

Thank goodness, the majority will read them and regularly 'over-react'........up or down is fine........as long as they do over-react.

Agreed. An emotional roller coaster ride taken by the majority creates opportunities for the minority.;)
